Title: New methods of recovering zinc from hard zinc and from Zamak scrap

Project objective: The aim of the project is to develop an innovative technology for recovering zinc from hard zinc and to implement it in production as an additional process within the Beneficiary’s operations, thereby enabling the production of a specialized zinc alloy that utilizes the potential of hard zinc.

Planned activities: Laboratory research and pilot-scale testing using laboratory equipment as well as pilot devices designed and manufactured within the project.

Planned purchases: Materials for the construction of furnaces and laboratory equipment, as well as for the construction of furnaces and pilot devices, and a trial batch of raw material.

Target groups: Hot-dip galvanizing plants.

Planned outcomes and results of the module: Complete recovery of zinc from hard zinc.
